Welcome to Throstle Hall Country Cottage. The self catering holiday accommodation sleeps 8 and consists of;
Large vestibule area in glass atrium, overlooking both front parking area and garden and views out to Ribble Valley. Ideal for leaving wet boots, dogs, outdoor coats etc. with staircase giving access to the first and second floors.
Ground floor ;
2 bedrooms with king size beds and views to Pendle Hill. One double bedroom with views over farmland. House bathroom with shower over bath and separate shower room with toilet, basin and heated towel rail. Up the Open Wooden Staircase to the First Floor:-
First floor Open Landing ;
The ultimate chill out area. Relax in a comfy sofa with a cuppa or a glass of your favourite enjoying the views and sunsets over the surrounding countryside. Watch out for badgers at dusk and our owl visitors.
Living space and Kitchen ;
Accessed from the landing, this is a really cleverly designed space, with a large, excellently equipped kitchen, opening into dining area and living space with wood burning stove. Separate utility room and cleaning cupboard. Being on the first floor this area has fantastic long distance views across the ribble valley.
Kitchen Facilities ;
kitchen: dishwasher, electric cooker and hob, fridge, microwave etc utility: washer/dryer and larder fridge/freezer, iron & board; living: satellite TV, CD, DVD player and DVDs, Playstation 2, range of books and local information.
Second floor ;
Reached via a wooden staircase from the landing Children love this room! Tucked up in the eaves the second floor has its own seating area, and twin bedroom (beds zip to become a super king for adults).
Patio area with garden furniture and seating. Terraced garden Access to private fields and nearby stream. Public footpath runs alongside cottage boundary and a little bridge links across to further footpaths on the Downham loop.
